Frederick Solt is Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Iowa. His interests include comparative political behavior, comparative public opinion, and political economy. Much of his work has focused on understanding how the extent of economic inequality shapes political attitudes and behavior. He created and maintains the Standardized World Income Inequality Database, which provides the most-comparable data available on income inequality for cross-national research, and he leads the Dynamic Comparative Public Opinion Lab, which draws on thousands of surveys to provide cross-nationally comparable estimates of trends in public opinion.

이철승 교수는 서강대학교의 사회학 교수이자 시카고 대학교 NORC의 선임 연구원으로 재직중이다. 그의 연구 관심사는 비교 복지 국가와 불평등의 정치이며, 최근 연구는 자산 불평등, 노동 시장 이중화, 그리고 이들이 사회 정책에 미치는 영향에 중점을 두고 있다. 그는 American Sociological Review, Social Forces, World Politics, Comparative Political Studies에 논문을 발표했으며, When Solidarity Works: Labor–Civic Networks and Welfare States in the Market Reform Era (Cambridge University Press, 2016)을 출간하였다. 최근에는 쌀과 밀과 같은 곡물 재배 문화가 사회적 비교와 행복과 같은 사회 심리적 결과는 물론 질병 통제와 경제 성장과 같은 거시사회경제에 끼치는 영향을 밝힌 논문들을 출간해 왔다.

이승윤 교수는 현재 중앙대학교 사회복지학부의 교수로, 동아시아복지국가와 비정규직 비교연구로 영국 옥스퍼드대학에서 사회정책학 박사학위를 취득했다. 주요 연구 분야는 동아시아복지국가와 노동시장, 불안정노동, 소득보장정책, 제도주의와 비교연구방법론이며, 주요논문 및 저서로는 “실업안전망 국제비교연구: 실업보험, 사회부조, 적극적노동시장정책의 제도조합과 유형화 (2018)”, “Institutional Legacy of State Corporatism in De-industrial Labour Markets (2016)”, 한국의 불안정노동자(공저, 후마니타스, 2017), 기본소득이 온다 (공저, 사회평론사, 2018) 등이 약 60편의 논문 및 저서를 출간했다. 최근에는 단독저서 [“Varieties of Precarity: Melting Labour and the Failure to Protect Workers in the Korean Welfare State" (2023) Policy Press.]를 출간하였다. 2018년, 2014년에 각각 우수연구 장관 표창장을 수상하였고, 2020년 9월부터 2022년 7월까지 국무총리실 청년정책조정위원회 초대 민간부위원장으로 활동했다.

I am professor of international relations at Yonsei University Mirae Campus, South Korea. My research interests involve the political economy of Europe and East Asia. I have explored various topics in industrial relations and welfare reform in Western Europe. Currently I am working on tax policy in East Asia. I explore key features of the tax models in Japan and Korea in comparison with other OECD cases. My work has appeared in Economic and Industrial Democracy, International Political Science Review, Journal of Contemporary Asia, Public Administration, Journal of East Asian Studies, Social Science Japan Journal, etc.

김낙년 교수는 동국대 경제학과 명예교수이며, 한국경제사 등을 강의하였다. 연구 관심은 경제성장, 소득 및 자산의 불평등, 소득재분배 등이다. 한국의 장기 경제통계를 정비하는데 주도적인 역할을 하였고, 그 성과가 Historical Statistics of Korea(2022, 공편저)로 발간되었다. 역사적 국민계정과 소득집중도에 관한 추계성과는 각각 Maddison Project Database와 World Inequality Database에 한국 데이터로 올라 있다. 한국경제의 성장과 분배에 관한 많은 논문과 저서가 있으며, 저서에는 『日本帝国主義下の朝鮮経済』(2002), 『한국경제성장사』(2023) 등이 포함되어 있다.
